We used to raise Shih-Tzu, but at the beginning of 2008, we made the decision to focus on our  Cocker Spaniels,
and our Poodles / Poodle mixes.  We had wonderful Shih-Tzu, and I do love the breed, but we were spreading
ourselves too thin.  Anyway, I still want to share pictures and letters from our wonderful families, who have a
Hearthside Shih-Tzu puppy.

Above is Coco with Mei and Mia.  She was our little Fern, but now has a new name 'Coco'
and a new home in Alaska.  She loves playing with Roman too, their Rottweiler who
is only 4 months old.  (This was in 2006).

"She is such a cute little teddy bear and my kids fell
in love with her as soon as  they saw her at the airport."
(5/25/06)

"By the way, Coco knows a few tricks and knows how to follow
commands like sit, stay, down, and bark.  We just started
with sit and stay a few days ago.  I taught her how to stay
this afternoon and she did it after a few attempts.  It was
so funny because Paul was training our rotty how to bark and all of
a sudden Coco started barking.  She kept getting all the treats
instead of Roman because every time Paul asked Roman to bark, she barked.
She is so adorable we are all glad that we have her with us.
Well, take care and I will keep you posted with what is going on
with Coco." (6/11/06)

A wonderful new life for LizziLu

Lucinda has become LizziLu.  She now lives with Larry and Joyce
in Illinois. It is so nice when we get to meet our puppies new

family. LizziLu will definitely be a pampered little house baby.
We just love her new name.

"Hi there,  Thought I would let you know that we made
it home just fine.  Her name is lizzi lucinda, lizzilu
for short.  She slept most of the way, and went potty
soon as we arrived, such a good llittle girl.

Thank You again for such a sweet baby."
Hi, Just an update for you.  Liizzi lu slept through
the night, in a little bed next to mine, a cutsie lit-
tle pink one made for little dogs.  She stayed by me
in bed cuddliing for a bit, and then she just went to

sleep,  couldn't ask for more, such blessings to be
able to sleep.
We had good weather, just windy shortly
after getting home it dumped the rest of the evening,
such odd weather.  Yes i also enjoyed visiting with
you, that park is really a nice spot.  I will send
updates from time to time, take care.

Kavanaugh went to PA to live with Kelvin & Carolina plus their
sweet children. Here is what Kelvin wrote after a week or so:

"Hi Mary Ann,
Sorry I did not get back to you sooner... little Kavanaugh (yes we

kept the name) is doing great click the link above to see some
pictures of his first day with us, he is growing really fast,
already running up the stairs and today he actually built up

the courage to go down the stairs which he did not dare until
just a few hours ago... we took him to Pet Smart and he brought
the house down... he is eating well and sleeping well and we are
all thrilled to have him.
He will be going to the vet next week

to get an implant, rabies shot and neutering so I will keep you
posted and also let you know as soon as I have new pics of him...

Thanks and Happy Holidays,
Kelvin."

Moonbeam is now the notorious Scarlett Oh! Haira of Florida.

Judy in Florida sent us these pictures of her new puppy. She started out
as Moonbeam, but is now Scarlett Oh! Haira.
This baby is going to have a very pampered life with Judy.

This is my brother Bud, he now has little Kenash, renamed FooFoo.

This is my brother, Edwin - only we've always called him Bud.
He drove from CA to see Mom and all of us.  I sent him home with
one of our babies.  I just got to see Gizmo (the name that stuck
with him), in Nov. 2008.  He is 2 years old, and totally loves life.

Toby has a new family.

Toby began as our little Kent.  He quickly became Toby, as this
sweet family picked him out when still very young.

They are taking him to a busy home in Illinois.  I sure enjoyed
the time we shared here in Saint Louis, MO.

Grace in the picture too.

Gary & Julie with Letitia

Here we have Gary and Julie, who drove here to pick out
the right puppy for them.  They picked little Letitia, who was
one of Corrie and Bruschko's family.

I love looking at the happy faces on these pages, and
knowing also what great homes these 'babies' are going to.

The story continues, as Julie's brother Rick has also
adopted a Hearthside Shih Tzu.  His little Roxy,
started here as Daffodil and she has the same parents
as Libby.  The above picture was taken of Julie and
Gary when I got to take Roxy to Rick - who is shown
below with her.

May, 2007.

"Mary Ann,

I am glad you liked the stein. Roxy (with a Y) is doing
well. She is very cuddly and seems to be picking up on
things well (although the first couple days were rough).
She seems like she understands she needs to go out-
side to go potty now, but still has accidents in her crate.
I figure that will change as she grows into it. The Vet
(my friend Matt) looked her over and thought she looked
great and said he thought highly of you as a breeder
(especially after seeing Libby & Roxy).
She doesn’t seem to eat too much …about how much
should I expect her to eat in a day?   I gave her half a
cup and that has lasted more than 2 days now.  Thanks
again for all your help & such a wonderful dog.  ~  Rick"
